Do you miss those days of Dan Patrick and Keith Olbermann on ESPN's Sportscenter? I do. I grew up on that and loved it. It was a daily ritual and I tried my best not to miss the show when they were on. They duo helped elevate Sportscenter to what it is with their humorous banter and on cam presence. Now, that partnership is gone, I think the best tandem on spots commentary is Mike and Mike featuring the duo of Mile Golic and Mike Greenberg on ESPN Radio and ESPN 2. All I can say is... there is hope. And that I don't have to listen to idiotic commentary and analysts with no balls. Try to listen when you can.
For a couple of years, I tune into Mike and the Mad Dog on WFAN in New York (when I'd get the chance). If I didn't catch them on radio, they were also shown on the YES Network. Mike Francesca and Chris "Mad Dog" Russo were behind a great radio sports talk show -- arguably the first -- before the two decided that they'd rather do their own thing.
This coming Thursday will be the last episode of Halikinu Radio for this season. It will be a two-hour episode (since we didn't broadcast last week during Championship Thursday). But I am working on another radio show to keep you company during these lonely months of waiting for Ateneo to defend the crown again. Stay tuned for more details.
