- It was better officiated game than the previous one against Brunei
- The Azkals played more aggressive even with a man down
- A few minutes into the second half, I thought the team was flat out tired and Tajikistan made better sorties. Should the coach have substituted? I think so. But there's that unspoken sensitivity to sitting down the Fil-foreigners.
- The rough play. I don't know why the Fil-Brits are complaining because the football they play in England is way rougher than that.
- Great play by Neil Etheridge. Excellent instincts and leadership.
- We've seen some excellent goaltending by the minders of the Philippines, Brunei, and Tajikistan. The games have been fun to watch.
- I think we've played outstanding defense as we've forced opponents out of their rhythm and game plan. They've largely depended on individual strikes with spotty play from their midfield.
- Our problem. Still a lack of chemistry. The ball doesn't move around as smoothly. Against the tougher teams, this will be exploited.
