Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

My Liverpool FC haul these past few days: new kit, DVDs and the mag

Finally got the new LFC Warrior kit. Loving it (except the other versions of the kit that I want no part of because of the awful design). The home version is comfortable, loose enough and feels great.

You might want to get your new kit at Planet Sports (Rockwell, Trinoma, and Alabang Town Center).

Some other stuff I picked up over the weekend while I was at Hong Kong - the 2012-13 season review DVD that goes along nicely with the Being Liverpool DVD that's worth a watch (and many repeated ones) and a spot in any Reds fan's collection. And the latest LFC magazine. Will do a proper review of Being Liverpool soon.
