BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

Blue Eagle 40 Episode One: Talking with Ateneo head coach Bo Perasol

Here's the first episode of Blue Eagle 40 that features a really long and incisive interview with new Ateneo head coach Bo Perasol.

  1. Perasol will be a made-coach or the goat by the end of Season 76! 99% are still expecting the 6th.

Kaya! We still have intelligent players!

    1. Really? 99% Goat? You think you know everything don't you?

    2. I think you misinterpreted what he said. I think he meant that Perasol will either be hailed to the high heavens (99% chance that this will happen) because ADMU wins a 6th title, or will be blamed to kingdom come for not calling the shots properly as head coach.

Personally I prefer to be cautiously optimistic: it's quite possible that we bag a 6th title, but I know it'll be harder to do so, arguably even harder than during Season 73.

  3. One strength of the Blue Eagles is Intelligence, players and coaching staff! If we win the 6th, it can only be attributed to our STUDENT-ATHLETE program!

  4. Another strength is the 6th Man, these intimidate everyone...
