BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

Malaga def. Zenit St. Petersburg 3-0 GOT THIS WRONG
Milan drew Anderlecht 0-0 GOT THIS WRONG
Borussia Dortmund def. Ajax Amsterdam 1-0
Schalke 04 def. Olympiakos 2-1
Paris Saint-Germain def. 4-1 Dynamo Kiev
Porto def. Dinamo Zagreb 2-0

 We'll see how I fare for Wednesday's matches.

    almost same picks that i had except.....

    i pick a win or draw for mancity away at r madrid
    and win or draw for ajax vs bdortmund
