Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

A cool find for Yankees fans at Fully Booked

If you're a fan of the New York Yankees then you will love this coffeetable book that collects many of the best Derek Jeter stories from the pages of the world's most influential newspaper, the New York Times.

The 224-page book, published in March 2011, is available at FullyBooked (although I only saw this at the Bonifacio High Street branch) where it fetches for P1,299.00. Now if you have a FB discount card then that's an additional 10% off the retail price.

In the meantime, check out the video on youtube.
