BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

    How many were really allocated to those mentioned above? Per Ticketworld personnel, more than 50% of the total available seats were put on hold or reserved for supposed sponsors. Is this true? It is sad because the open letter was short of admitting how many were set aside and not sold to the public.

    May I suggest that PFF should reduce the limit from 10 tickets per transaction to 5 tickets only so that more would have chance of availing the tickets. Ang iba yata may style pa, kung lima kayong magkakilala, sunod sunod kayong pipila, eh di meron na kayong 50 tickets. Rizal Stadium is so small now that fans are getting bigger.

    I think its pretty simple. You have 80k fans (more or less) trying to get to less than 13k of seats and way less than that for the cheap seats then something will go wrong. I find it funny that there is an inserted fan comment from facebook on an official letter. These are just growing pains. We'll get better at this, hopefully.

    I am a fan of football and I am dying to watch our players beat Kuwait. Just to tell you, I was online(Ticketworld website)starting 9 AM. 5 minutes before 10 AM, the website went down. I was trying my best to refresh it multiple times but I failed. Their webpage was just giving me a message SERVICE UNAVAILABLE. I even tried calling their hotline using my mom and sister's phone but it was really busy. I was multi tasking juggling phone and internet until 12 noon, but really end up with nothing. I was really upset about it. So Upset :(
