BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

Gary Andrew Poole's Pacman

I was planning on buying the book when I first saw it on the racks but when I got home the other day, I was elated to find out that a good friend of mine bought it as a birthday gift. Thanks, Rob!

I've been kind of busy with my day jobs (you read that right and it's with a "s") so anything outside that is a luxury. I went through the prologue and the first chapter before I went to bed last night and so far it's been a very nice read. I'm anxious to find out what author Gary Andrew Poole brings to light here that we do not know. I figure it's just the anecdotes but it will be nice to be proven wrong. But I've seen some reviews and they're pretty good. However, it could sure use some better editing. I've seen quite a few mistakes in the first couple of chapters. So now here's hoping in the updated version, Manny Pacquiao knocks Antonio Margarito on his 5'11" ass.

Fight day is just one day away.
