BALLS Channel airs live the 2010 US Open Tennis Championships at USTA Billie Jean King Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York nightly up to September 11 at 11 p.m. and September 12 at 12 a.m.
Carol Wozniacki and Kim Clijsters will once again face each other for an even more tighter match. Ranked the World's No. 2, Wozniacki is the No. 1 seed at a Grand Slam event for the first time in her career and is seeking her first Grand Slam title. She will be followed by Clijsters, the defending US Open Champion.
Also seeded in this year’s tournament is Venus Williams (No.3) of the United States, and former US Open Champions Svetlana Kuznetsova (No.11) and Maria Sharapova (No.14).
World's No. 1 Rafael Nadal of Spain, the reigning French Open and Wimbledon champion, on the other hand, will be the top seed at men's singles of the 2010 US Open. Nadal, an eight-time Grand Slam champion who is seeking his first US Open title, is the No. 1 seed at the US Open for the second time in three years.
Nadal is followed by No. 2 Roger Federer of Switzerland, a five-time US Open champion, No. 3 Novak Djokovic of Serbia, the 2008 Australian Open champion (and 2007 US Open runner-up), and No. 4 Andy Murray of Great Britain, the 2008 US Open runner-up.
This is the ninth consecutive year that the US Open has seeded 32 players in both singles events.
