BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

Wednesday This week

The game between Talk 'N Text and Ginebra last Sunday was a thriller. Rico Villanueva played well but was alone for much of the game under the boards. Mark Cardona on the other hand had a difficult time more so against Ronald Tubid with whom he was matched up with. But the Tropang Texters had the last laugh when they executed the perfect inbound when Ranidel De Ocampo found Jared Dillinger with an alley-oop game-winner from an inbound that killed Ginebra. The missed free throws by JC Intal and Cyrus Baguio sure came back to haunt them. Photos by Nonoy Lacza.

The Simpsons. WWE Raw. Where will Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban come out next? Not sure but the man is plenty entertaining.
