BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

Even more outtakes from the 2010 Ateneo Sports Calendar

I took several shots -- one that will remind you of Saturday morning cartoons and another that's more of a smiley shot. This one is out of Karate Kid; our homage to popcorn movies we all love. The photos I post here will not be used for the calendar but are just outtakes. Yes, we love the black and white. We will explain it in the foreword for the calendar.
He went thataway! Carlos "Soy" Soriano, from the Ateneo track gold medal 4x100 relay team, does a Hulk Hogan.

The football team's Luigi Meer. The shot that we will use will remind one of those goal celebrations. Bwahaha!

Just a reminder, the calendar will be out the first week of December. There will be now three sizes. We will keep the medium-sized horizontal version from last year then a vertical wall version and a desktop. Prices are Php350 for the first two and Php 250 for the latter.
