BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

Disney buys Marvel Comics. This is I gotta see.


Wearing my Marvel Comics shirts (circa Civil War:the Series).
Since Disney acquired Marvel Comics, here's what I want to see:
- Pluto vs. Lockjaw (of the Inhumans). Should be written by Michael Vick. This one bites!
- Neil Gaiman write Marvel vs. Disney. A 12-issue maxi series where sex, drugs, and mutants invade Disney's for all ages movies.
- Howard the Duck vs Donald Duck.
- Daredevil vs Hot Stuff the Little Red Devil. Wrong comic company? Crap. Hahahahahaha.
- Pirates of the Caribbean vs. the Starjammers.
- The Little Mermaid meets Namor the Sub-mariner.
