BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

Final Line-ups for Basketball National Teams to SEA Games

Here are the line-ups for the RP fives to the Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand SEA Games:

The men's team: Gabe Norwood, Jervy Cruz, Allan Salangsang, Richard Alonzo, Boyet Bautista, Beau Belga, Eric Rodriguez, Eugene Tan, Al Vergara, Jason Castro, Jonathan Fernandez and Jeff Chan.

The women's team: Vicky Brick, Emelia Vega, Aurora Adriano, Joan Grajales, Minerva Narcisa, Cassandra Tioseco, Fatima Tolentino, Sylvia Marie Valencia, Diana Jose, Matchiko Matsuno, Melissa Jacob and Amira Issa.

Damn. Sayang for Chris Tiu, Pipay Villanueva, and Tin Chua.

Good luck anyway to our teams.
