BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

The best news in Beantown since the Red Sox won the 2007 World Series

The Celtics starters accounted for roughly 89% of their offensive output as opposed to the Wizard starters chalking up 75% of their team's points. While a win was nice for Boston the hole in their bench was glaring. But let everyone sit back and enjoy this for awhile.

Ainge, your job isn't done this season. If you think James Posey and Eddie House are the answers off the bench then you're in for a rude surprise.
