BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

Owning a piece of history: The Jordan Dream Team jersey


Ordered this retro Dream Team jersey. The only one missing from my Jordan collection (I have the Laney, UNC, Chicago, and Washington jerseys).

      Thanks! I also have a bunch of original and I do mean original, owned and worn by the owner -- Spurs' Ginobili (he wore this vs the Nets in '04, Olsen Racela's SMB (what he wore the last time they won a title as SMB), Baclao Air21 from his first conference, a Kevin McHale Celtics, an Erving Sixers, Barkley Sixers, Mullin St John's and G-State (during the Run-TMC days), and of course, original Ateneo Blue Eagles jerseys from Gonzaga, Buenafe, and Tenorio.

      where'd you get the ginobili(!!!) jersey? this dream team jersey is different from the original one, though. it has a v-neck instead of a round one...
