BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

The cover of the fourth issue of Rebound

Here's the cover for the new issue that will be out in the first week of July. We toyed with the idea of putting other teams like San Sebastian but it didn't work out. Hopefully, next time. SHAMELESS PLUG TIME! Please pick up a copy of this. And back issues are still available. Email me if you want to get some. Muchos gracias.

Aside from myself my other colleagues from inboundpass (Mike, Chris, and Sid) and Mike Yu have chipped in some great stuff. As I mentioned before, I have a story on Joshua Webb ("Mad dogs and Joshua Webb"), JP Erram and Jason Escueta ("The Second Coming?"), the Letran Knights ("Die Hard"), Smart Gilas ("That Old College Try"), my team previews on La Salle and Letran and my third piece for my From the Parking Lot column.

On another note, we're also looking for other contributors. Send your samples to my email above.
