BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

"Air Force" in shoes? Adidas has the real Force in them

No, this isn't from a galaxy far far away. Star Wars adidas originals gear in now available locally. Since I am a card carrying member of the Empire, I got myself a Stormtrooper shirt (PhP1,600 but I got a discount as I used my Ateneo alumni card). The Superstar shoe; now called Stormtrooper, is pretty snazzy. And check out those soles. I swear I could go planet walking in Endor and stomp those damned Ewoks to death in them. They've got a Stormtrooper jacket as well. I love this line except for one thing... where in the blue hell is Bobba Fett? Gotta have the Bounty Hunter, hommes.
