BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

Ateneo vs UE Final Four

Better late than never, folks. Check out my first contribution to www.ateneo.edu this year:
http://www.ateneo.edu/index.php?p=120&type=2&sec=27&aid=5735

Tito Jimmy Araneta texted me about the title. It's "eight degrees" as opposed to "six degrees" because there are eight incidents cited. I had one more but eight seems so in because of well, the Beijing Olympics. I'm sorry it wasn't clear.

And lastly, that was written for Dean Rudy Ang of the John Gokongwei School of Management. Thanks, sir! What can I say but, "I'm back."

Animo Ateneo!
