Check out our SBP champs.

This is our Small Basketeers team that won the MILO-BEST crown last Sunday. Our Passerelle team placed second to Xavier losing 60-57.

But check out the names of the kids on our SBP team:

Halftime: 46-26

Anton Asistio is of the Asistio clan of Caloocan. Mio Puno is the son of former Blue Eaglet captain Nolet Puno (I know Nolet worked as a manager for one of our pro clubs I just can't remember which one) and his team won the juniors crown in '84. Matthew and Michael Nieto are the sons of my kumpare and batchmate Jet Nieto of the '85 champion Blue Eaglets and '87 & '88 champion Blue Eagles. Mark Gamboa is the son of former Blue Eagle Jojo Gamboa and younger brother to Mike and Kevin. Thirdy Ravena is the son of my old neighbor and King Red Warrior Bong Ravena. Aaron Black is the son of our coach Norman.

Jay Javelosa was tourney MVP and is a heady guard with a great feel for the game.

A number of these kids could be future Blue Eagles.

Incidentally, the sons of Benjie Paras went to Ateneo but transferred to LSGH where you'll also see some familiar names.
