BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

Pics from Game, Set & Match: A Courtside View of Sports Marketing at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business

With Jeff Chan, Beau Belga, and Paul Lee. The three Rain or Shine Elasto Painters were on hand to draw people as well as sign autographs and have their pictures taken with attendees.

The seminar was held at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business in Rockwell, Makati.

The speakers for the seminar: the Alaska Aces' Tony Dela Cruz, me, UAAP Commissioner Atty. Rebo Saguisag, Sen. Freddie Webb, and my idol, Quinito Henson.

Some body builders who represent the Philippines in international bodybuilding competitions (and they are winners).

Some of the PBA players in attendance: TNT's Chris Sumalinog, Phoenix' Emman Monfort, Ginebra's Joe DeVance, and the RoS boys.

Veteran sports anchor Dominic Uy (above) and Eric Reyes moderated the Q&A portions.
