BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

Standard Chartered brings the Liverpool Football Club Clinics to Manila!

LFC Football Academy coaches Colin Wilson and Philip Anthony Oliver will be conducting three camps from May 14-16 at the British School Manila in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig, and in La Salle Greenhills. Some 250 kids are expected to attend the three clinics.

May 14 1:30-5:30pm Football clinic for kids of Standard Chartered clients at the British School Manila
May 15 3-5pm Coaches session  at La Salle Greenhills

May 16 8:30am-4pm Football clinic for community children at the British School Manila
