Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

  1. I hope ADMU does not use its typical first six. Bugbog na sila; besides, the bench needs exposure.

  2. I noticed Ana Gopico's name in the lineup. Is she healed of her knee injury?

  3. Si marge yata at si kim ang babanatin nila this time... Im not sure if Gopico will play. Tnx.

  4. We know it may be asking too much Sir Rick, pero once in awhile if you can throw a paragraph or two re: our own ALE in SVL? Much appreciated. Thanks for the schedule too. ALE won vs Adu yesterday. They started strong then tapered off in the 2nd, and regained their form ala vs NU stepladder in time for a 4-set victory. Gopico, Tejada and De Leon did not play. Sato did. She did well. C Parley's calling the shots. And the girls did not forget to meditate in between sets. Amy was POG and she had 7 aces. Way to go. Continue in the system the calming discipline which C Thai instilled. It'd be nice to see to get this title back from NU :) but too soon to wish... OBF!

    1. Sure. Wasn't able to go on opening day coz I wasn't feeling well. Thanks for reading.
