BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

Happy 51st Birthday, Michael Jordan. A pic of some of my Jordan memorabilia.


On the 51st birthday of Michael Jordan, I took a shot of some of my remaining collection (not included are the basketball cards and some other magazines and books. I lost all the stuff from 1996 onwards during Ondoy so a lot of this is from 1985-1993 save for the books and the DVDs. 

In the pic below are the Jordan jerseys that survived Ondoy. The Wizards, Bullets, Bulls and Tar Heels. Missing is the USA Dream team jersey that I hope to replace one day.
