BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

Check out the list of high school hoops players taking part in the 2nd Seaoil NBTC High School All-Star Game




The stage is set for the finals of the 2012-13 Seaoil National Basketball Training Center Finals and the second staging of the Seaoil NBTC High School All-Star Game.

After several months of grueling competition, 16 high school teams are left out of a pool of 200 squads. These last 16 teams come from all over the Philippines and will compete in a knockout affair at the Ynares Center and Philsports Arena in Pasig City from March 1 to 2.

One of the highlights of the Seaoil NBTC Weekend is the second staging of the Seaoil NBTC High School All-Star Game at 11am Sunday, March 3 at the Ynares Center. Thirty (30) of the best high school players will be showcasing their skills in front of college coaches and hoops fans. THE NBTC IS THE OFFICIAL GRASSROOTS PROGRAM OF THE SAMAHANG BASKETBOL NG PILIPINAS.

The NBTC Finals will be played around 130pm also at the same venue.
