BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

Video of the Game 2 penalty shooutout between Ateneoo & UP and some pics

The UAAP Season 75 Finals Game 3 drew more than 3,500 people (that is the official estimate). And of course some personalities: Global head coach Brian Reid was present as is former Ateneo/UP booter Ebong Joson AKA The Blue Haired Fanatic (he was cheering for UP).

National Team & Global manager Dan Palami (cheering for UP) here chatting with UAAP regular Juan Cutillas (in blue).

Former Kaya head coach Maor Rozen who always watches the UAAP chatting with JP Manahan. I think it was Coach who signed Nick O'Donnell and Carlo Liay to Kaya.

Back Four Bums reunion with Darren Hartmann at the ABS CBN panel.

Here's are my thoughts (it's not a recap) on Game 1 and Game 2.
