BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

Last Saturday at the UFL Cup Finals


With me bud, Rels, lifting the championship trophy. Hahaha. We go to lift it before Air Force. hahaha But that is one nice trophy! Below, with Mik de Guzman, Bob Guerrero, and Maan Pamintuan. 


Below: Me and Graeme MacKinnon and the 3rd place trophy that Global FC won. Gotta love all that silverware. Congrats to all the teams that participated in the UFL Cup. Awesome tournament. Regarding the Kaya jersey. I am also waiting to get a Loyola, Air Force, Pachanga, Global etc. to add to my growing collection of football shirts.
