BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. Suarez strikes

Luis Suarez entered in the second half as a substitute during Liverpool's home match against Stoke City and 16 minutes into his debut, he scored to add to Raul Meireles' strike for a 2-nil win. Talk about debuts. Here's hoping to a real renaissance in red. And while we're at it, thanks to Ryan Babel for the three and a half years in Anfield. Best of luck in Hoffenheim. Thanks to liverpoolfc.tv for the pics.
