BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

    Is it true that UAAP Football will be now televised like in Basketball and volleyball?

    In the last three years they have televised the finals. That's all. Tapos delayed telecast pa. So it would be interesting to see what they do this year. Before when I was in Solar Sports, I used to take a camera crew (at time myself), I'd show the game highlights on Sports Desk. I cut a few TV commercials with the Ateneo and La Salle teams for the 2006 World Cup. After that ABS began to send their crews :)
