BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. Adding more fuel to the fire

Just when details of the Miami conspiracy are coming to fore, Dwyane Wade, who makes a reference to a bullseye planted on his Heat's back, bungles it again when he compares a losing streak to the World Trace Center coming down again. Then he issues an apology where he says that it was either inaccurately reported or taken out of context.

Okay, I understand the point he was trying to make and it was a poor choice of an analogy. Let's move on.
