BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

Stuff @ the Greenhills tiangge

Good cheap buys. You betcha. Photos taken today at my absolute fave shopping place in the country... Greenhills. Learn how to haggle, folks. You'll need it here. Football jerseys go anywhere from Php500-650. They have Team Pacquiao jackets and Ateneo jackets (the adidas design) that are obviously knock-offs. Saw a stall with a McGrady Knicks. Imagine that! These guys are fast.

Why a shot of the Astro Boy shirt? It was one of my fave cartoons as a kid. Have the complete DVD set of the original series. Cool gift I got. Hopefully, I'll complete my Mobile Suit Gundam.
