BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

Blue skies for Reby

My fave New York Giants cheerleader Reby Sky (I have been a big fan of Ms. Sky for some time now) is disappointed that our team lost to New Orleans 48-27 after a superb game by Saints' QB Drew Brees.

First loss of the season for New York which fell to 5-1 but still leads the NFC East. New Orleans is 5-0 but Minnesota behind Brett "Gone Too" Favre is at 6-0! Will wonders never cease.

The Indianapolis Colts and the Denver Broncos are likewise undefeated (as of this posting) at 5-0.
