BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

Halikinu Radio Episode 4

Posing with our guests George Rocha and Magoo Marjon. And our student assistant Aussy Aportadera after the show. Medyo bumalik sa nagkakahiyaan. Just a few zingers here and there.
Stretch out and wait. Seems like I did a lot of standing the past two days. Felt tired from staying up all night and from keeping vigil at the Manila Cathedral.

With Aussy. She attended a writing seminar I did two years ago for Communications students in ADMU and we've become friends since. She does a lot of work for MagNet in Katipunan Ave while finishing her studies. Keep it up, girl!
That's me doubling over from all the hirits during the show. Probably not the smoothest show we did. Nagkakahiyaan with the guests. But oks na rin. Maybe for the second round it will be a little more "intense."
