Okay, I'm bumping this up. And the poster was fixed na so hopefully there are now more going to war stuff in the flag (but I think that Somalia should be carpet bombed back into the Stone Age).
The Ateneo Blue Eagles will be going back to Vancouver this May to play the Simon Fraser University Clansmen. Another match, this time between the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds is being arranged.
The UBC Thunderbirds for those who may not recall once played in the Philippine Amateur Basketball League (PABL), the precursor to the current Philippine Basketball League (PBL) in one conference during the early 1990's (along with two other guest teams from Japan and Indonesia).
Ateneo alum Tom Firme sent me info about the rematch between the Blue Eagles and the Clansmen (the home team won the first outing) on May 16 at 2pm at the Chancellor Gym.
For those Ateneans in the Great White North who wish to see the game, you might want to get with Tito Tom @ (604) 318-2298.
Here's a pic from the team's first trip to Vancouver back in 2007. Geez, take a gander at the difference then and last year.
We will be posting more info on this as well as the SFU team within the next few days. And stay tuned for my stuff on the Blue Eagles 2009-10.
