BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

Designed for Kobe’s unstoppable quickness and lethal cutting on the court, the Kobe IV is a revolutionary low-top basketball shoe.

· Molded heel counter locks down the heel for a supportive fit similar to that of a high-top
· Fit sleeve leaves room for ankle
· Rubber in forefoot for durability
· Flywire support system pairs nylon threads with synthetic leather and mesh to create an ultra-lightweight, supportive upper
· LunarLite foam forefoot midsole combines with Zoom Air cushioning in the heel to give players a very responsive, comfortable ride
· Natural motion principles applied to the outsole provide players with better flexibility and feel for the court
· At 11.6 ounces (328.9 grams), the Kobe IV is one of Nike’s lightest basketball shoes to date.
