BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

Hyper coz its UAAP time

The Nike Hyperdunk will be worn by key Nike athletes including Ateneo Blue Eagles Kirk Long, Rabeh Al-Hussaini and Eric Salamat; De La Salle Green Archers JVee Casio, Rico Maierhofer and Simon Atkins, Far Eastern University Tamaraws JR Cawaling and Mac Baracael; University of the East Red Warriors Marcy Arellano and Elmer Espiritu; and University of Sto. Tomas Growling Tigers Jervy Cruz and Dylan Ababou.

The Nike Hyperdunk introduces two new revolutionary technologies: Flywire and Lunarlite foam. Flywire technology redefines footwear construction, shaving off weight and adding strength that allows athletes to be lighter on their feet and quicker on the court, while Lunarlite foam features a unique cell structure, making it ultra responsive as a cushioning system. These two technologies combined in the Nike Hyperdunk are what give the athletes the competitive advantage.
