BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

If they only sold this for 23 bucks, I'd buy the whole shebang

Nike Philippines is set to launch several colorways of the AIR JORDAN XX3. Starting with an exclusive limited release of the AIR JORDAN XX3 PREMIER on Saturday, January 26, 2008 with a suggested retail price of P14,995.

Only 1,000 pairs will be available in the world and 23 of these will be in the Philippines, exclusively at Nike Park The Fort. Sale of these pairs will be done through a special raffle beginning exactly at 1:23pm on January 26. Entries will be accepted from 12:00nn to 1:00pm at Nike Park The Fort. Only 1 raffle entry per customer will be entertained and at precisely 1:23pm entries will be drawn. Please bring proper identification to present should your stub be picked.

In addition, the first customer who brings a pair of the Air Jordans that Michael Jordan wore during his 1st championship, Game 5, 1991 NBA Finals gets to be a wild card winner, bypassing the raffle, ensuring him of a size of his choice for purchase.
