BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

Wear All That History On Your Back














Liverpool captain and England midfielder Steven Gerrard has fond memories of the adidas kits of the 80’s and said: “The style of the shirt reminds me of adidas kits that I have grown up with and hopefully we can repeat the success of the great Liverpool teams of the past who wore adidas kits. With the physical demands of football being as they are, technology is vital to ensure we are comfortable for 90 minutes and beyond. Having tested the strip, it is clear that the new kit will be beneficial to us all.”
