Five passes. Five seconds. And one. Breaking down a play by San Beda vs Lyceum

First pass: Dan Sara (11) inbounds the ball to Davon Potts (16) who brings it upcourt.

Lyceum allows the Red Lions to bring it upcourt with NO PRESSURE.

Second pass: Potts to Sara. Token pressure from Lyceum's Wilson Baltazar.

Third pass: Sara to Robert Bolick (8) who draws two Pirates. Bolick hot two triples earlier so that is why they close him down. Second mistake because the double team means someone is open.

Fourth pass: Bolick passes to a cutting Javee Mocon (10) who now attracts the attention of Pirates center Joseph Gabayni. A second and fatal double team. Now two Red Lions are open. Potts cuts towards the basket with Lyceum unaware of two open Red Lions. Donald Tankoua is lurking from the weakside.

Fifth pass: Mocon drops a pass to Tankou who slides in. And one on LPU's Dexter Ayaay.

All FIVE Red Lions touch the ball. As soon as Potts lets go of the ball. No one takes too long with the ball. Five touches. Five seconds (yes, I timed it).

This particular play happens in the last 18 seconds of this video below.

The San Beda Red Lions finished the game (a 84-72) victory with 26 assists.

Against UE, SBC had 23 assists to the 15 of the Red Warriors.
