PFF Statement on the departure of Stephan Shrock

It is with regret that we inform all our Filipino football fans that Stephan Schrock has had to take an unscheduled and immediate flight back to Germany to attend to an urgent family emergency. Out of respect to Mr. Schrock, no additional details of this matter will be provided but we ask for everyone's support and prayers.

We all know that Stephan was very excited to come home to the Philippines to join his team mates during scheduled games this whole month of June.   Though playing for our country is a great honor for Stephan, family always comes first and PFF is exhausting all efforts to make sure that he gets back to his loved ones as quickly and as safely as possible. Azkals Men's National Team Manager Dan Palami has also added that Tuesday's match against Indonesia  at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium will be dedicated to Stephan.

Personally, I was looking forward to Schrock playing on Philippine soil and to interview him about a number of things. But as it is said in the statement, family comes first. Hope all is well, Stephan!

In case you missed my breakdown of the Philippines-Malaysia match in Kuala Lumpur, here it is.
