A statement from Lexton Moy

A statement from Lexton Moy, member, Philippine Men's Football National Team: "This is a heartbreaking misunderstanding. It deeply saddens me that such a misinterpretation can be so painstakingly blown out of proportion. I cannot wait for the truth to come out, as I am being wrongfully labeled, judged and criticized. I have been fully cooperating with the investigation in order for the facts about the alleged incident to be released. Although I want the truth to be revealed as soon as possible, I will patiently handle this situation properly, appropriately, and, most of all, professionally.  “Sexual Harassment” accusations are very serious claims. This wrongful allegation has taken its toll on myself, my friends, and family, and the Philippine Men’s Football National Team that is in the midst of a historical milestone for football in the Philippines. To all those who I inadvertently hurt or insulted due to a comment directed to a teammate, please accept my humble apology. In this time of unrest, I want to thank everyone who has shown their continual support to me and the rest of the team."

From the moment this controversy began, I was trying to get in touch with the players for a statement. I was told to wait for the time when they would. In the meantime, Lex sent me this and asked me to share it with all.
