Laos ran Union Internacional ragged before unleashing their shock troopers.
Knowing that their foes were not fully fit and were fielding six new players, Laos head coach Ronald Patulin had his team play at a fast pace. Once Laos had measured Union, they dropped the hammer by playing an unorthodox 3-2-3-2 formation and sending in the Angeles twins.

Fil-Italian twin brothers Marwin and Marvin Angeles added pace and skill to Laos’ midfield. That freed up striker Reggie Jukes who had been marked well up to that point. Laos took control of the ball and the match and began to systematically destroy the Union side of coach Jorge Muller.

Jukes, bristling with energy, scored a hat trick while Marvin Angeles added a brace for Laos. Al Ervin Patlunag also chipped in a goal for Laos.

Union pulled back one in the match’s final minutes as Joseph Cerdena prevented Laos keeper Oliver Moreno from tallying a clean sheet to make it 5-1. But Jukes scored his third goal to close out the scoring at 6-1 aside from ending the match for Laos on a high note.

In the first game of UFL Division II play, Diliman crushed Manila All-Japan 10-nil. Ariel Zerrudo and Andoni Santos both scored a hat trick while Jon Manlunas added a pair of goals while Andrei Mercader and Paolo Misa tacked on a goal each.

Diliman, Pachanga, and Laos are all expected to compete for the UFL’s Division II championship. The champion will be promoted to Division I at the end of the season.

  1. I have Diliman-Victory Liner to win Division 2 (unbiased forecast; I'm from UP)
