For James and Phil Younghusband, life
has turned 180° for them. The two started out on their journey with the Chelsea
Football Club’s Youth Academy. Incredibly, nearly 10 years later, as they
finished Year One of the Younghusband Football Academy, the national football
team mainstays signed on as Football Ambassadors for AKTV and have reconnected
with the club of their youth in the Philippines of all places.
In a simple press luncheon held at
Masas in Greenbelt 2, AKTV head of sports Vitto Lazatin said that the country’s
newest sports superstation’s mission “is to bring sports to every television
set in every country and to make sports bigger than it currently is. We have an
excellent opportunity to elevate sports now that what we’re showing is
available on free television.”
