My All-Visayas Starting XI of the Qualifiers of the PFF Suzuki U23 National Cup

After a great regional qualifiers, here’s my All-Visayas Starting XI:

Keeper: Wilson Muñoz (Iloilo)
Back Four: Neckson Leonora (Iloilo) Lemuel Unabia (Bacolod) Ronald Batisla-Ong (Iloilo) Carlito Abadia (Cebu)
Midfield: Joshua Beloya (Bacolod) Francis Gustilo (Iloilo) Morris John Tulang (Dumaguete) Jovin Bedic (Bacolod)
Forwards: Adrian Dolino (Bacolod) Jomar Lestingio (Iloilo)
Coach: Norman Fegidero Jr.

Some may wonder how Cebu’s Carlito Abadia got on the list. Putting his team's record aside, the dude is solid and fearless. And it will help that there is an enforcer too. He isn’t afraid to knock someone down. But it isn't only on D -- he can bring it upfield. Good range too with his set pieces.

As for Morris Tulang, I’d put him in attacking midfield and leave the playmaking to Ansing Gustilo and Jovin Bedic. Morris has quite a feel for the ball. You know the saying "maamo yung bola sa kanya"? That's the best way to describe Morris. And he's also good in setting up teammates. He scored one of the best goals of the tournament when he was drifting off to the left and he fired a shot that curved towards the goal and into the back of the net. Awesome! Wish there was a video for that.

Reserves: Others I like are Bacolod’s Carmelo Tacusalme and Leyte (yes, Leyte) defender Rodolfo Tumada. The latter can turn into a very good defender with more experience and better teammates. Throw in J Baguioro of Bacolod to the subs.
