Breaking news on the PFF

FIFA just sent word that deposed PFF President Mari Martinez will still hold on to the position for now. He must call an extraordinary congress within three months to tackle all these things. So he's going back to his old office at the PFF House of Football. FIFA thinks there was something wrong with the procedure. They are eager to tackle these things but they are closed lipped when it comes to their corruption cases.

  1. DELIKADESA naman, lahat na ayaw sa dating presidente, this is the best time for him to show his real quality as a leader. the humility to step down.

  2. FIFA is involved in a worldwide corruption procedure. ( international medias reporting intensively about it )

BBC awarded Andrew Jennings picked up the news from Philippines .

The air around Bin Hammam and FIFA PRESIDENT BLATTER gets more and more thin !

Suporting a rubbery ..tsk tsk tsk

  4. Jeez! I hope this thing doesn't escalate to a situation that gets us banned from international competition; like what happened to the basketball association.

I agree with the anon who said, "delicadeza naman". Philippine football (the national teams, the casual players, the fans) doesn't need this.

  7. People read the letter carefully. Mari sent bogus minutes of the Congress to FIFA, without approval of the BOG. Obviously he omitted a lot of things, like the approval of the BOG to include the resolution to remove him as PFF president. Mari has a criminal case pending. FIFA will not ignore this.

Read the 2nd and 3rd paragraph. Basically FIFA is saying that they cannot decide either way with the information that they have. FIFA will always support the incumbent president. That is the process. All the current PFF President has to do is submit the video and documentation of the congress. Unfortunately the incompetent Gen Sec does not even know how to take minutes, that is why it is taking time to do this.

Don't worry... Justice will prevail and Mari will not be allowed to get away with all the criminal things he did. How can FIFA deny 26 out of 33 FA Presidents calling for his removal? The video recording proves this.

We expected this to happen. Even Johnny R. (former PFF PResident) said this during congress.

SOP lang to. What FIFA will not tolerate is government interference, but if our congress and BOG are the ones asking for Mari's removal, FIFA will not interfere.

FIFA may even suspend us until they are able to sort out all these things that Mari did. Remember Mari is trying to return money he took without any approval from the BOG. He took money away from the your children who play football. He could not even justify why he bought the Valle Verde shares. He could not even explain why he claimed to have paid the airfare for the Azkals when Dan Palami was the one who paid for it. He could not even explain why he took out P1.7M from the PFF coffers when he was only authorized P250K for his allowance. When everything is said and done, people will remember Mari for the person he is, and that will be disclosed as soon as FIFA does their thing.

  9. Why did the board, gen sec, congres allow him to send the letter to FIFA about his removal? He would naturally omit data for his own evil intentions.
May pera pa ba ang PFF for another congress? Yung mga coaches nga hinde pa nabayaran....napaka stupid itong FIFA, why did they make a decision when they should have done the proper inquiry before making the decision...why did they not contact the BOG, congress to confirm, gather the proper docs and data? I guess it is because, they want him there until the next AFC election...

  11. F**k! thats d first thing that came 2 mind when i read d fifa letter. its BS. but i wholeheartedly agree with what mr. nierras said. its a matter of procedure. eventually, fifa will learn d truth.
but when is that? 3 months is a long time and a lot of things can happen between now and march 2011. and mari will utilize those 3 months just getting even with his adversaries or worse, bleeding d pff coffers dry, if there is still anything left worth stealing.
d phil team recently trounced with stars exploding d defending champ vietnam. i hope thats a good omen for the state of phil football for d coming year.
