Monday short stuff

So tell me, is Filippo Inzaghi dangerous? Or is he dangerous? The master poacher for AC Milan has scored his 123rd goal for AC Milan and that put him in a tie with Rossoneri great Marco Van Basten. It isn't easy to pay tribute to someone who sunk Liverpool in the 2007 UEFA Champions League Finals but I have to love how he beat that offside trap by Catania in a 2-1 Milan win.

Whoa! This is not dump on Liverpool week now is it? But you gotta hand it to Manchester United's Dmitar Berbatov. What a second goal against Liverpool! Pepe Reina absolutely had no chance. And the Bulgarian striker scored a hat trick for those damned Red Devils. Grrrr.

But if it's a smashing goal I am looking for then here's French footballer Hatem Ben Arfa who blasts a rocket from far out to beat Everton keeper Tim Howard.

The PBA Board of Governors which is meeting in Bangkok, Thailand for a planning session is taking up the request to add Asi Taulava, Kelly Williams, and James Yap to Smart Gilas.

The search for the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons' next head coach is down to three candidates. The initials of their surnames are M, M, and A. Methinks it will go to "A." And speaking of the Maroons, Mike Gamboa is coming back to play his final year of eligibility?

I wonder if this is it for the Adamson Falcons. Yes, they finished third but I think it isn't solely experience lacking here because they clearly have the talent. It's the mental fortitude of the players now. And if they need some financial backing if they want to make even more strides. They already have a very good coach in place so just a little more tinkering in the support system.

Anyways, here are the final win-loss standings from third to eighth place in the UAAP. The rankings take into consideration the Final Four games.
Adamson 9-6
De La Salle 8-7
National University 7-7
University of the East 6-8
University of Santo Tomas 4-10
University of the Philippines 0-14
