El Barça, el campeón con más puntos de la historia de la Liga: 99

And once more the La Liga came down to the final playing day with one point separating FC Barcelona from Real Madrid FC 96-95. Los Blancos played first and disappointingly 1-1 with Malaga that narrowly avoided relegation. Their poor performance only netted them a point tying erstwhile idle Barcelona that had yet to play Valladolid that was on the brink of relegation as well. At the very least, Pep Guardiola's men needed only to tie the game to win the title. Even a loss would have still given them the title as they had a superior goal quotient. As it is, Barca smashed the home side 4-0 to win the Primera Liga in style -- a back-to-back title and 20th overall to a rain of confetti.
Bojan Krcic, Pedro, and Lionel Messi celebrate. They might have not duplicated last year's incredible treble and six titles (that overlapped from the 2009-10 season), but it was still special.
And to the Man -- Pep Guardiola. Ole!
