Tottenham knocked out Arsenal from the Premiership race. And now Arsene Wenger is upset that Lionel Messi has made comments that it’s only a matter of time before Cesc Fabregas returns to Barcelona. I like Arsenal (not as much as Liverpool of course) but the Gunners haven’t won anything in a while. Stands to reason that some players will leave. And Barca is looking increasingly attractive. Pep Guardiola has got a good thing going there. Unlike in Real Madrid where the managerial position is in through the out door. The Philadelphia 76ers can relate.
Speaking of being dissed, now Kevin Durant has responded to Phil Jackson’s comments about getting preferential treatment from the referees. Anyone who has been watching Jax for some time now would know that it’s all a part of his game plan. What he said was premeditated. And who cares if Stu Jackson fined him again? It’s chump change.
Durant shouldn’t have responded. Well now that he did, it’s going to be an explosive first round series between the LA Lakers and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Bring it on!
Since everyone’s blood is at a boiling point how about that talk of all that jabbing and shoving between John Paxson and Vinny del Negro? Now it’s he said and he said. The bottom line is they are dysfunctional. Trades here and there. Something new all the time. This team is nothing like the ones that were on the rise years ago. The Philadelphia 76ers can relate.
Oh, Eddie Jordan was fired again? I remember when he replaced Doug Collins in Washington and Michael Jordan was cut by Abe Pollin. The Wizards put in a streak behind Arenas and the newbie’s and everyone was hailing Eddie as a coach on the rise. One fan even held up a sign at the MCI Center that read: “We’ve got the Real Jordan.” Then the team faltered to a 25-57 record (unlike the previous 37 win year with Michael Jordan) but they did make the playoffs despite an atrocious record and beat Chicago. Now they’re writing about how he only won 43% of his games. His Philly team won better than 25% of their games this season.
