Behind the scenes at the BJ Armstrong/Scott Levy interview

Basketball TV's Lia Cruz interviewed BJ Armstrong first. The man was hilarious, deep, and very accommodating. Check out the kicks on BJ. His spiel for Yahoo was cool! He was relieved to know that the Chicago Bulls clinched the eighth and final playoff spot in the East. Old loyalties never die. Back to Lia, she's just getting better at her craft (tops is still Patricia Bermudez-Hizon (Hey, Shan! plug here!). When she covered the NBA this year, Dominique Wilkins recognized her and said hello.
After Lia, selected members of the press were given a chance to interview BJ who was really having fun with it. During Quinito Henson's interview, when asked which of his three NBA championships was most memorable, he replied that it wasn't any of the three but the loses where he played well. Why? Because it motivated him to get better. The Dean also related that BJ said the public missed a lot of Michael Jordan's best games ever. "He was the greatest practice player ever," said BJ. "He set the tone. Him and Pippen."

And speaking of Supafly... after I interviewed Scott Levy, I asked Mr. Ed Winkle about the line-up to the 2nd NBA Asia Challenge. I whispered... "Pippen. Pippen." He laughed and walked away. Now, Mr. Winkle is from the Windy City and was a fan of the team at the time of Dick Motta. Pre-MJ Bulls, brothers!
That's the Inquirer's Jasmine Payo and the Bulletin's Waylon Galvez filing their stories. At the foreground is BJ's carafe of Evian Water.
