Why Gilbert Arenas brought guns to the locker room

1. - He is listed as a “shooting guard.” Can’t be one in name without them firearms.

2. - He idolized Pistol Pete Maravich when he was growing up. It’s his way of paying tribute.

3. - He wanted to be ready when his team flies to Detroit for their next road game in case he comes across another Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab who attempted to blow Northwest 253 from Amsterdam to Detroit.

4. - He feels that Washington has no identity. Is David Copperfield from Washington? Nope, he’s from Metuchen, New Jersey. Arenas feels “Bullets” suits this NBA franchise better than “Wizards.”

5. - In Washington’s rivalry with Cleveland, he was probably thinking that LeBron James was “Jesse James.” So he wanted a shootout at the OK Corral (which is wrong since that was the Earps versus the McLaurys).

6. - He works undercover for Homeland Security Washington Branch. He isn't "Agent Zero" for nothing.

7. - He was thinking of using the guns as a bargaining chip for contract negotiations (although he did re-sign one last year).
