Mo money. Mo wins. Mo to his legacy.

As the New York Yankees are almost a decade removed from their last World Series title, its dynasty core has, as the days go by, like World war II veterans -- every year there are less. Now they are down to four: catcher Jorge Posada, shortstop Derek Jeter, pitchers Andy Pettitte and Mariano Rivera, and manager Joe Girardi.

Since getting swept by Boston at Fenway Park, not only have the Yankees surrendered first place atop the American League standings but they've been on a losing streak. Thank God for the Washington Nationals and the New York Mets so the Bronx Bombers have arrested their skid.

They are several games behind Boston for first place but as they try to catch up, Mo Rivera, the other day, notched his 500th career save. He's now second to Trevor Hoffman and his 570 (dud I get the number right) wins. Mo probably won't catch that because that means he will accomplish that for this season and the next two. If he does, then in the immortal words of Phil Rizzuto, "Holy Cow!"

Here's to NY's Chien-Ming Wang finding his range, velocity, and strike zone consistenly after getting his first win since last year.
